Joseph Ser

Joseph Ser ( * 1875) was a French mathematician. He has 45 works published in the period 1900 to 1954, including four monographs, which he published in Paris in Publisher Gauthier -Villars. In essence, he worked in the field of number theory and infinite series. He died after 1954, the exact year is not known.

Ser achieved important results in the field of faculty ranks, very well known is his series representation of Euler's constants with rational elements. This used 1926 Paul Émile appeal ( 1855-1930 ) in a failed attempt to prove the irrationality of Euler 's constant.
