Joseph Weber Award for Astronomical Instrumentation

The Joseph Weber Award for Astronomical Instrumentation is awarded by the American Astronomical Society to a person who has contributed through design, invention or significant improvement of instrumentation to the advancement of astronomy. It is named after the physicist Joseph Weber. The prices are usually awarded more for a career in the instrument development as a single device.
