Josh Green

Josh Green ( born November 16, 1977 in Camrose, Alberta ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who stands in October 2013 in Tampere Tappara in the SM- liiga under contract.

Career

Green played during his junior time in the Western Hockey League for the Medicine Hat Tigers. NHL Entry Draft 1996, he was selected by the Los Angeles Kings in the second round as the 30th. After the draft, he moved within the WHL with the Swift Current Broncos and later the Portland Winter Hawks.

After one season in the American Hockey League with the Fredericton Canadiens, he came over the 1998/99 season to his first NHL inserts at the Kings. Mostly, however, he played for the Springfield Falcons in the AHL. For the 1999/2000 season Mathieu Biron and a first round pick was Olli Jokinen together with, delivered to the New York Islanders in the 1999 draft. In return, among other Žigmund Palffy and Bryan Smolinski came to Los Angeles. after an initial time in the AHL Lowell Lock Monsters in the he fought his way to the Islanders in a regular place. After the end of the season he moved with Eric Brewer to the Edmonton Oilers, the charges for this novel Hamrlík to the Islanders.

Due to a shoulder injury he missed almost the entire 2000/01 season. After a few building games in the AHL with the Hamilton Bulldogs, he came only to three inserts in the playoffs. After a full season in Edmonton a varied history season came toward him. He started in Edmonton, joined the New York Rangers and was still in the course of the season to the Washington Capitals passed but here he remained only until the end of the season.

In the 2003 /04 season he played for the Calgary Flames, before he returned in the course of the season on the Rangers. As the following season failed due to a strike, Green played in the AHL with the Manitoba Moose. From the season 2005/ 06 he spent two years with the Vancouver Canucks. In the summer of 2007 he decided to move to Europe one and played in the 2007/08 season for the EC Red Bull Salzburg in the Austrian Hockey League.

In the season 2008/ 09 he ran on in the AHL for the Iowa Chops, before he was hired in July 2009 by MODO Hockey of the Swedish Elitserien. In July 2010 he signed a temporary one-year contract with the Anaheim Ducks. In October 2010, he was together with Maxime Macenauer to their farm team, the, sent Syracuse Crunch in the American Hockey League.

On July 3, 2011 Green signed a two-way contract with the Edmonton Oilers and over the following two seasons, primarily with the Oklahoma City Barons in the AHL for use. After the fall of 2013 again could not recommend it for a place in the NHL squad the Oilers to Green moved to Europe to Tappara Tampere.
