Josh Hennessy

Joshua Hennessy ( born February 7, 1985 in Brockton, Massachusetts) is an American professional ice hockey player who is under contract since August 2012 in Vityaz Chekhov in the Kontinental Hockey League ( KHL ).

Career

The 1.83 m wide center began his professional career with the Quebec Remparts in the Canadian Junior Football League Quebec Major Junior Hockey League before he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2003 as 43 in the second round by the San Jose Sharks. With the Remparts played the links Sagittarius as host in the final tournament for the Memorial Cup in 2003, the team but failed after three defeats in the preliminary round.

By 2005, played the Americans, who quickly developed by learning the French language to the leading players in the Remparts and was appointed in his third season in the QMJHL to the Team Captain, in Quebec City and then moved to the 2005/06 season to the Cleveland Barons, the farm team of the San Jose Sharks in the American Hockey League. The attacker denied as one of only two players all regular season games and was elected with 63 points scorer for the team-internal "Rookie of the Year".

About the Chicago Blackhawks Hennessy was finally transferred on 9 July 2006 in a swap deal with players from all three franchises to the Ottawa Senators, dominated previously put him at the Binghamton Senators in the AHL.

For the 2010/11 season Hennessy moved to Lugano and signed a contract for one season. On 5 July 2011, the striker received a contract for one year with the Boston Bruins, but was predominantly at the Providence Bruins in the AHL for use. In August 2012, has been committed by Vityaz Chekhov Henessy from the Continental Hockey League.
