Josh Langfeld

Josh Lang Field (* July 17, 1977 in Coon Rapids, Minnesota ) is an American professional ice hockey forward who plays for the EC VSV in the Austrian Hockey League since November 2010.

Career

Josh Lang Field began his career in the AFJHL before he moved to the United States Hockey League 1996 to the Lincoln Stars. With 58 points in 38 games, the winger recommended for the National Hockey League and was finally selected at the NHL Entry Draft in 1997 in the third round at position 66 of the Ottawa Senators. For the next four years the right shooter, however played for the University of Michigan team, with whom he the championship of the NCAA and thus the most important title to win in college sports in 1998. Linear scored the decisive goal in the final and was elected to the NCAA All- Tournament team.

In 2001 the Canadians to the Grand Rapids Griffins, the then acted as a farm team of the Ottawa Senators and played in the AHL. The attacker completed a solid season and was even allowed for a game in the NHL on the ice. In the seasons 2002/ 03 and 2003/ 04 long box got more appearances in the NHL, but could not prevail, and therefore continued to play in the AHL, this time with the Binghamton Senators, the new partner of the senator.

2004/ 05 was his best season in the AHL, while the contract of striker at the senator was not renewed and he moved to the San Jose Sharks, for which he came 39 times used. Even during the season of Canadians was delivered to the Boston Bruins, but did not renew his contract after the season. In summer 2006, Josh Lang Field received a contract with the Detroit Red Wings, but he did not make it here first in the NHL squad and started the 2006/07 season with the Grand Rapids Griffins in the AHL, which served now as a farm team of the Red Wings. Due to injury problem in the Red Wings, the attacker has often been called during the season in the NHL squad and so came to 33 inserts.

After the season long field contract was not renewed again in Detroit and he moved to the Nashville Predators, however, sent him to their farm team, the Milwaukee Admirals in the AHL. After the canadian end of season 2007/ 08 was not given a new contract in the NHL, he moved to Germany at the Frankfurt Lions. The Lions long field became the top scorer with 21 goals and also had 16 assists.

In the summer of 2010, after the bankruptcy of the Lions, long box was initially without a club. In early September he was the HC Plzeň committed from the Extraliga, but where he could not convince. In November, he then completed a one-week tryout at EC VSV in the Austrian League and was then taken up to the end of the season under contract.
