Josh Smith

Joshua ( Josh ) Smith ( born December 5, 1985 in College Park, Georgia ) is an American professional basketball player. He currently plays for the Detroit Pistons in the NBA.

Career

He was drafted in 2004 by the Hawks in the first round to 17th place directly from high school. His position is either small forward or power forward. His superior athleticism makes him a very good throw blockers. He scored most of his points by dunks. His hit rates amounted to 43.8 % ( field goals ) and 28.6 % ( triple ) (as of after the season 2005/ 06). His achievements and the nomination for the NBA All - Rookie Second Team were previously passed in 2004/05, the invitation to the Rookie Challenge in 2005 and winning the 2005 Slam Dunk contest, Amar'e Stoudemire where to hit him in the final round with 87:100 had.

He scored in his rookie season average of 9.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.95 blocks per game. In the past season, scoring 16.4 points, 8.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists.

In Slam Dunk Contest 2006 in Houston, he was fourth with 81 points.

Detroit Pistons

On July 10, 2013 Josh Smith signed a contract for 4 years at the Detroit Pistions. This contract will earn him approximately € 40 million. Smith will play for Detroit with the number 6.
