Joshua Steinberg

Joshua Steinberg (Russian Осий ( Иошуа ) Штейнберг; * 1839 in Vilnius, † 21 March 1908 in Vilnius ) was a Russian- Jewish scholar and appointed by the Government Inspector of Jewish schools. He emerged mainly as a linguist and lexicographer, and brought, among other things, a Hebrew -Russian -German dictionary out (1888 ff.)
