The small town of Joshua Tree is located in San Bernardino County of the U.S. state of California, about 818 meters above sea level and about 200 km from the city center of Los Angeles. The town has about 4,200 inhabitants and is located directly at Joshua Tree National Park.

At regular intervals, find the gates of the city instead of the Desert Sessions, which was founded by Josh Homme, frontman of Queens of the Stone Age, to life. In addition, the studio albums of the stoner rock band have been recorded here.
