Josy Gyr-Steiner

Josephine Hannelore ( " Josy ") Gyr -Steiner (born 10 October 1949 in Wädenswil, † 18 April, 2007 Einsiedeln ) was a Swiss politician (SP). The citizen of Einsiedeln was married and had a son.

Josy Gyr was since 1990 in the District Council ( council ) of Einsiedeln, where she oversaw the department care. As of the 2003 elections she served on the National Council. There she sat in the public accounts committee and the Committee for Public Buildings. Her political focus was on social and health policy.

Gyr died a few days after she had resigned for health reasons from the National Council. She was suffering from pancreatic cancer.
