Joué-l'Abbé

Joue -l'Abbé is a municipality with 1269 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the Pays de la Loire Sarthe in the arrondissement of Le Mans in Canton balloon.

Location

The municipality covers 10.39 square kilometers and is located 5 km east of the A 28 and 1.5 km west of the departmental road 300, from where you turn in Les Quatre -Routes, in the midst of an intensively farmed area 52 to 95 m above sea level.

• Catholic church of Saint -Denis, former abbey church, of Romanesque origin (11th century), nave with a wooden barrel vault and transept, tower with cantilevered belfry ( 15-16 century. ); Renaissance altar of 1524, several wooden statues from different eras (including stone figure of Saint Michel from the 17th century; terracotta figures of Saint Denis, Saint Sébastien )
