Joyce Fitch

Joyce Fitch ( born April 3, 1922) is a former Australian tennis player.

Career

In 1946 she won with her ​​compatriot Mary Bevis the women's doubles at the Australian Tennis Championships (now the Australian Open ). They defeated Thelma Long and Nancye Wynne Bolton in straight sets 9:7, 6:4. It was the first doubles competition in Melbourne after a break of five years (1941 to 1945), which was inserted because of the Second World War.
