Jozef Ninis

Jozef Ninis ( born June 28, 1981 in Čadca ) is a Slovak luger.

Career

Jozef Ninis is a living in Čadca sports teacher. Since 1991 he has luger, since 1996 he is a member of the Slovak national team. In Luge World Cup he was in the 2001/ 02 season, his debut. His best finish achieved Ninis 2006/ 07 with the 13th place in Sigulda, the overall World Cup is the 22nd place in the World Cup Ratings 2007/ 08, 2010/11 and 2011/12, his greatest success.

In his first World Championship in 2004 in Nagano, Japan, he was 17, a year later it was only enough for 38th in Park City. After he had not been used in previous years in the team competition, he joined in 2007 along with Miroslav Horvath, Jozef Kuchar and Veronika Sabolová and reached the seventh place. In the individual competition he has reached the 23rd place. In the Luge World Cup in Oberhof 2008 Ninis reached his best ever World Cup result with 13th place he occupied the 18th place in singles at the 2009 World Championships in the U.S. Lake Placid, with the team he managed fifth place. In Cesana, Italy, he was 17 in 2011, the team competition was canceled due to technical problems. With the 14th place in the individual and the ninth in the team competition Ninis closed the Luge World Cup 2012 starting in Altenberg.

The 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Turin ended Ninis as 22 When luge competition of the men at the Olympic Winter Games 2010 in Vancouver, Canada, he reached the 24th place.
