Jon -Paul Roger "JP " Pietersen ( born July 12, 1986 in Stellenbosch ) is a South African rugby union player who plays on the positions of wings and full goalkeeper for the South African national team, the province of Natal and in Super Rugby for the Sharks. It was founded in 2007 with the " Springboks " world champion.
Pietersen was in 2005 at the age of 19 years, made his debut in the Currie Cup. The following year he was first used in the Super 14 and culminated with the U21 national team of South Africa the final of the World Cup. The Tri Nations 2006, he was nominated for the first time for the Lord National Team. His first game for the " Springboks " followed against Australia.
Pietersen was the top scorer of the 2007 season in the Super 14 with twelve experiments. He was nominated for the World Cup and appealed to the 36:0 - opening victory over England two attempts. At the end of the tournament, he was able to celebrate the second World Cup title in South Africa.
In 2009, Pietersen played with South Africa against the British and Irish Lions. The Springboks won the series 2-1 and also secured the third title in the Tri Nations in the same year.
