Jørgen Aukland

Jørgen Aukland ( born August 6, 1975) is a Norwegian cross-country skier from Tønsberg, who has specialized in racing over long distances. Among his greatest successes include victories at various ski marathon, including winning the Vasaloppet 2008. The FIS Marathon Cup he won in the 2002/2003 season in the standings.

He belonged to several years of the Norwegian national team. In the Norwegian Championships in 2001, he reached in the relay along with his brother Anders Aukland and Espen Bjervig a third place. Also, he took a third place at the 2002 Norwegian Championships 50 km free technique.

When Marcialonga, an Italian Ski Marathon over 70km, it could be several years ( 2003, 2006, 2012 and 2013 ) the cash prize. Placement in a World Cup race, he reached over 2004 Marcialonga entered the World Cup standings.

In 2008 he won the Vasaloppet in Sweden about 90 km classic technique. His brother, Anders ran into this race with three and a half minutes behind second place.
