Jørgen Rostrup

Jørgen Rostrup ( born November 5, 1978 in Kristiansand ) is a former Norwegian orienteers. Rostrup won a total of four gold medals at the world championships.

Rostrup won the 1997 and 1998 Junior World Championship on the middle distance. In his first World Cup of assets in 1999 in Inverness, he could at this distance also win the title. 2001, when two-time Nordic Champion of Mikkeli, he won the world title on the long distance. In the middle distance he had to settle behind the Finn Pasi icons and the Norwegian Tore Sandvik third place. In 2003, he was first nominated for the Norwegian championship season. At the World Championships in Rapperswil, Switzerland, however, the Norwegians occupied only seventh. Norway won in 2004 and 2005 respectively but the gold medal. 2005 Rostrup also completed his last World Cup.
