Jørn Didriksen

Jørn Didriksen ( born August 27, 1953 in Jevnaker, Oppland ) is a former Norwegian speed skater.

Didriksen who specialized in his active career on the short routes. His greatest achievement was winning the silver medal at the Olympic Winter Games in 1976 in Innsbruck, Austria. About 1,000 m, he had to admit defeat to the Americans Peter Mueller.

Between 1975 and 1977 Didriksen also took part in three Speed ​​Skating Sprint World Championships. His best result was in 1975 in Gothenburg, Sweden when he came fourth in the overall standings behind three runners from the Soviet Union. In the following years, he reached the ranks of six and ten.

Also in 1975 was Didriksen Norwegian champion in the sprint four-way battle. In Elverum, Norway, he won three individual sections ( 1 x 500 m, 2 x 1,000 m ), and thus laid the foundation for his victory in the overall standings.

Didriksen works as a writer and is the author of several crime novels.
