Jørn Lyseggen

Jørn Lyseggen ( born December 1, 1968) is a Norwegian entrepreneur, founder and CEO of Meltwater Group.

He holds many patents in the area of technologies for the use of artificial intelligence and pattern recognition methods. In 2001 Jørn Lyseggen Meltwater News has founded - an international online media monitoring service - and thus laid the foundation for the Meltwater Group.

Since its foundation, Meltwater has developed into a leading international software as a service company (SaaS ) with 700 employees in 55 locations and offers a variety of online-based B2B services. The company has over 18,000 customers from different industries.

In 2008 Lyseggen Meltwater Entrepreneurial founded the School of Technology ( MEST ) in Ghana.

MEST offers Ghanaian university graduates with a free two-year postgraduate training program in software entrepreneurship. Lyseggens idea behind the non-profit organization is that Ghanaian software start -ups can have a significant contribution to increasing prosperity of the developing country in a globalized world.
