Juan José Mora Municipality

Juan José Mora is one of the 14 municipalities ( municipios ) of the state of Carabobo in the north of Venezuela.

The population was according to the census of 2001 56.458 inhabitants.

Geography

Juan José Mora is located in the northwest Carabobos on the Caribbean coast. The Yaracuy River to the west forms the border with the state of Yaracuy, in the south it borders on the district Bejuma and east to Puerto Cabello.

The area of the district is 453 km ². Administrative headquarters of the Municipalities is the city of Moron.

The district can be divided into a coastal and a mountainous region. On the coast it rains about 900 mm annually. In the mountain area it rains between 1200 mm and 1500 mm. annually. The region has an annual temperature of about 27 ° C. The Moron River flows through the center of the district.
