Juan Manuel Asensi

Juan Manuel Asensi Ripoll ( born September 23, 1949 in Alicante ) is a former Spanish footballer.

Playing career

Asensi began his career at FC Elche, where he spent four years of his career. In 1970 he moved to FC Barcelona, ​​during which he experienced his most successful period. He won a Spanish league titles and two Spanish Cups. He also won the 1979 European Cup Winners' Cup. In the final against Fortuna Dusseldorf Asensi played through. His career eventually trailed off from 1981 to 1983 in Mexico.

Juan Manuel Asensi was part of the Spanish banns at the Olympic Games in 1968, where his team reached the quarter-finals. He also played 41 times for the Spanish national team and scored seven goals.
