Juan Manuel Olivares

Juan Manuel Olivares (* 1760 in Caracas, † 1797 ibid ) was a Venezuelan composer.

Life

Little is known about Olivares ' lives. He led from 1784 until his death in the Academy of Music, founded by Padre Sojo of the city and was foster-father and teacher of Lino Gallardo. Of his compositions motets, Vespers psalms, a Salve Regina, a Stabat Mater and a Karfreitagslamentation with a large orchestra are obtained.
