Juan Pizarro (conquistador)

Juan Pizarro ( * 1511 in Trujillo, † 1536 in Cusco ) was a Spanish Conquistador. He was the youngest of the Pizarro brothers.

Juan Pizarro followed in 1530 his brother Francisco in the New World, and was involved in the conquest of the Inca Empire.

In the uprising of the Incas used by the Spaniards, Manco Capac II in 1536, he was among the besieged in the city of Cusco. He took part in the storming of the fortress of Sacsayhuaman and was hit by a stone basement. Since he was not wearing a helmet due to injury, he suffered a fractured skull and died two weeks later.
