Juande Ramos

Juan de la Cruz Ramos Cano, Juande Ramos mostly just ( born September 25, 1954 in Pedro Muñoz, Ciudad Real province ), is a Spanish football coach.

Career

Playing career

Juande Ramos began his career at FC Elche footballers in La Liga, where he was part of the senior squad from 1973 to 1977. However, during this time he played only three league games. After holding several positions in unterklassigen clubs Ramos finished his playing career at age 28 due to a serious knee injury.

Coaching career

As a coach, he also started in the youth of the FC Elche, where in 1991 he took over the second team and worked as an assistant coach of the first team. After numerous stations in smaller Spanish clubs, a promotion to the Primera División in the 1995/96 season with CD Logroñés, and a year in the youth of FC Barcelona Juande Ramos succeeded as manager of the Madrid club Rayo Vallecano breakthrough.
