Jud Larson

Eugene " Jud " Larson ( born January 21, 1923 in Grand Prairie, Texas, † June 11, 1966 in Reading, Pennsylvania) was an American race car driver.

Career

Jud Larson drove 1951-1965 in 51 races in the AAA / USAC National series, of which he was able to win five. In 1958 he finished fourth in the championship.

He started his career at twice the 500 miles of Indianapolis, which counted from 1950 to 1960 as a World Cup race of the Formula 1. In his first start in 1958, he reached the eighth on a Watson- Offenhauser the same lap as the winner Jimmy Bryan. 1959, this time on a Kurtis Kraft - Offenhauser, he was parted in the 45th round by an accident.

In 1966, he died in a Sprinrcar race in Reading died.
