Judd Trump

Judd Trump ( born August 21, 1989 in Bristol ) is an English snooker player.

Career

Trump was already in his early years as a major talent. He won, among others, once the U13 and U15 title three times in England. On March 14, 2004, he achieved at the age of 14 years and 208 days at the U16 tournament in Leicester a maximum break and thus beat the old record of over 13 years Ronnie O'Sullivan. This was 15 years and 98 days old when the first maximum break he succeeded in a tournament.

For the 2005/ 06 season, Trump received a wildcard for the main tour, so he was at the tournament series of snooker professionals the youngest player of all time. With the Round of 32 at the Welsh Open 2006 reached, he is also the youngest player ever drafted into the main round of a world ranking tournament. The following season he won the second PTC event in Gloucester and the ninth PTC tournament in Antwerp ( 4-3 Final victory over Ronnie O'Sullivan ), another time he was still in the final. With a 10:8 victory over Mark Allen, he secured at the UK Championship in 2011 his second title in a full ranking tournament. Thereafter, no further outstanding success was more to it, but he reached the quarter-finals three times and gained world ranking points, so he pushed forward to # 2. He successfully was to friendly competitions. Both the Masters and in the Premier League he reached the semifinals, where he stood in the Championship League final. At the World Cup, he retired then already in the second round by a narrow 12:13 defeat against eventual finalists Allister Carter from.

In the 2012/13 season Trump slow start, only at the Shanghai Masters, he again showed his strong offensive game and came to the finals before. He led against John Higgins already 7-2, but then collapsed in the second session and still lost with 9:10. This he failed to make it to No. 1 on the provisional world rankings. In November he won with a 10-8 victory in the final over Neil Robertson, the International Championship. With its clear 9:1 semi-final win over former world champion Peter Ebdon he had Mark Selby already outdated by points and sat down at the top of the world rankings. A little later, he won his fourth PTC tournament with the Bulgarian Open 2012.

In November 2013 Trump succeeded in Antwerp Open his first official maximum break in the Round of 32 against Mark Selby.

Nicknames

After Judd Trump was initially announced as Mr. Haircut 100 for his time wild hairstyle at the World Championships in 2011, he replied that he did not like this nickname. To save him, he suggested, therefore, that you would rather let him imagine under the nickname The Ace. Under the following sessions of the World Cup with his request was then also met respectively.
