Judi Brown

Judi Brown -King ( actually: Judith Lynne Brown, after marriage Brown King; * July 14, 1961 in Milwaukee ) is a former American hurdler whose special route was the 400-meter distance.

At the Pan American Games she won in 1983 in Caracas and 1987 in Indianapolis the gold medal.

In 1984 she won at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles the silver medal behind the Moroccan Nawal El Moutawakel ( gold ) and before the Romanian Cristieana Cojocaru (bronze). At the World Athletics Championships 1987 in Rome, she was eighth.

In 1987 she was elected to the United States by the magazine Sports Illustrated together with a number of other athletes for athletes of the year, after the group had committed to a charitable initiative.
