Judianna Makovsky

Judianna Makovsky ( born August 24, 1967 in New Jersey) is an American costume designer. She was nominated three times for an Oscar.

Life

As a child, Makovsky was part of the Children's Chorus of New York's Metropolitan Opera, where she was very fascinated by the costumes and sets.

She studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Yale School of Drama Costume Design and wrote her thesis under Jane Greenwood.

Work

Her first work in film was for Cotton Club, Milena Canonero as an assistant, with whom she also worked in a row again and again - as well as for Dick Tracy. Mokovskys first self-responsible design she created in 1988 for the film Big.
