Judie Tzuke

Judie Tzuke ( born Judie Myers, born April 3, 1956 in London) is an English singer and songwriter. Tzuke was born as the daughter of music manager Sefton Myers and actress Jean Silverside. As a teenager she began to play piano and guitar and write her first own songs, which she gave in local clubs for the best. Early in her career she took the surname of their former Polish paternal ancestors back to which they had stored after immigration to England. Mid 70 they met the guitarist and songwriter Mike Paxman, with whom she collaborates to this day as a writer, musician and producer. Published in 1977, the two under the name " Tzuke and Paxo " a joint single thesis are the laws. 1978 held Judie's first solo single For you. At that time she had a record deal with Elton John's label " Rocket".

Their first album, Welcome to the cruise could straight into the UK charts place ( 14th place ) and reached gold status. However, the resulting decoupled Single Stay with me till dawn, one written by Tzuke and Paxman ballad with a sumptuous string arrangement from the pen of Paul Buckmaster, reached number 16 in the UK, was their only hit.

Nevertheless, it would not be correct to describe them as a one- hit wonder, because their subsequent albums were definitely still listed from the 80 years in the charts ( Sportscar 1980 even reached the Top Ten). Thereafter, however, the commercial success of their music went back; it changed hands several times, the record company released their CDs since the mid- 90s under its own label "Big Moon Records " and sells them through their website.

With John 'Rhino ' Edwards and Jeff Rich in 1986, two ex-members joined their backing of the British rock legend status quo, while Mike Paxman in the late 1990s became a producer and webmaster of the status quo. Judie is active as a singer today. Moreover, it has a second pillar built up as a writer for other artists. For album Dive Deep by Morcheeba she contributed the song Enjoy The Ride and Blue Chair.

With her partner Paul Muggleton, who produced most of her albums in collaboration with Paxman, she has two daughters (born 1987 and 1994 ).
