Judith Kaufmann

Judith Kaufmann ( born September 20, 1962 in Stuttgart ) is a German visual gestalt cinematographer (Director of Photography ).

Life

Judith Kaufmann was born in Stuttgart in 1962 as the daughter of actress Liselotte Rough, but grow from the removal of the family in Berlin. After high school she was in Berlin for an apprenticeship as a photographer and studied at the State School of Optics and Photography in Berlin then.

Kaufmann worked as a camera assistant, among others at Konrad Kotowski, Thomas Mauch, Gernot Roll and Raoul Coutard. Since 1982, Kaufmann oriented more in the direction of the camera work in the film. In 1991 she became chief cinematographer.
