Judy Simpson

Judy Simpson ( Judy Earline Veronica Livermore, born in Livermore, born November 14, 1960 in Kingston) is a former British athlete of Jamaican origin who had their greatest success in the heptathlon.

At the Olympic Games in Moscow in 1980, she came in the pentathlon on the 13th Place.

In 1982, she won starting for England at the Commonwealth Games in Brisbane in the heptathlon silver and was about 100 m hurdles Fifth. At the European Athletics Championships in Athens, she finished seventh in the heptathlon. The following year she won the bronze medal at the Universiade. At the World Athletics Championships 1983 in Helsinki she gave up after her not a valid attempt had succeeded in the javelin, and reached over 100 meters hurdles semi-final.

At the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, she finished fifth in the heptathlon and was eliminated in the high jump out in qualifying. 1985 was followed by another bronze medal at the Universiade.

In 1986 a victory at the Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh bronze at the European Championships in Stuttgart. At the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, she gave up after the second discipline at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland they won bronze.

1982 and 1983 she was British champion in the heptathlon and 1985 English Hall champion over 60 m. In addition, in 1985 she was British champion in the 100 m hurdles.
