Juhamatti Aaltonen

Juhamatti Aaltonen ( born June 4, 1985 in Ii ) is a Finnish professional ice hockey player who is since September 2013 in Oulu Kärpät in the SM- liiga under contract.

Career

Juhamatti Aaltonen has already played at youth level for Kärpät Oulu, for his professional team, he made ​​his debut in the SM- liiga in the season 2003/ 04. Even before his rookie season Aaltonen has been selected in the NHL Entry Draft in the ninth round in 2003 when a total of 284 players from the St. Louis Blues, for which he, however, never played. Since its debut, the attacker has won with Kärpät in the years 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2008, four times the champion title in the SM- liiga in 2009 and runner-up, and in 2006 a third party. He also reached Kärpät in the years 2005 and 2006, twice the final of the IIHF European Champions Cup, where the team defeated each of the two Russian representatives HK Avangard Omsk and Dynamo Moscow HK.

2009 Aaltonen was taken by the Pelicans under contract who loaned him for the season 2010/ 11 at the Metallurg Magnitogorsk. A year later, he received a new contract with Metallurg, which was dissolved in July 2012. He then moved within the KHL for HC Traktor Chelyabinsk, but for which he did not play. In October 2012, he was therefore obliged by Rögle BK. At the Olympic Games in 2014 he won the bronze medal with the Finnish national team.
