Jukka Keskisalo

Jukka Pekka Sakari Keskisalo ( born March 27, 1981 in Varkaus ) is a Finnish athlete who is successful in middle and long distance running. At the European Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 2006 he won the gold medal in the 3,000-meter steeplechase ( 8:24,89 min). Here he benefited from that competition led to the race slowly, so that he could win by an ample second lead in a hard sprint.

Already in 2003, he finished the 3000 meter steeplechase during the World Athletics Championships in Paris on the 9th Place. In the then following two years he was out of shape due to injuries. At the World Championships in Berlin in 2009, he finished 8th place.

In Finland Jukka Keskisalo national champion was on the lines 1500 m (2003, 2006), in the steeplechase (2003, 2005, 2006) and in cross country (2003, short distance ).
