Jukka Vastaranta

Jukka Vastaranta ( born March 29, 1984 in Tampere ) is a Finnish racing driver.

Career

In 2001, Jukka Vastaranta secured the overall victory of cycling World Cup for Juniors. A year later, at the UCI Road World Championships in 2002 in Zolder, he won the silver medal in the road race in the Junior behind Arnaud Gérard and thus finished third in the overall standings of the World Cup for Juniors wheel.

For the 2003 season Vastaranta then switched to the youth team of Rabobank. In his second year in the age group under 23, in 2004, he won a stage of the Olympia's Tour and was later Finnish champion in the time trial.

Finally, for the 2005 season, he got a professional contract with a ProTour team Rabobank. In June, he won a stage of the Ster Elektrotoer for themselves. After he received a new contract for more 2007 Rabobank, he moved to Jartazi - Promo Fashion. There, however, he was released after about six months back, because he could not be reached, according to the team management for a long time. 2008 Vastaranta goes for the Dutch amateur team De Brink -Ten Tusscher at the start.
