Julen Aguinagalde Aquizu ( born December 8, 1982 in Irun, Spain ) is a Spanish handball player. Aguinagalde, who plays for the Polish club KS Kielce and accrued for the Spanish national team, playing the position of the circle runner. He is 1.95 m tall and weighs 110 kg.

Career

Julen Aguinagalde began in his hometown with the handball game. For the local first division Bidasoa Irun he made his debut in 1999 in the Spanish league ASOBAL. But never succeeded Aguinagalde to socialize with his club at the glorious times of the nineties. Finally, in 2006 he signed a contract with the top club Ademar León. With this he moved in 2007 to the final of the European Cup Winners' Cup, but lost to the German HSV Hamburg. In the 2008 /09 season he won with Leon Copa ASOBAL before he moved in summer 2009 to league rivals BM Ciudad Real, with whom he 2010, the Spanish Cup and the 2011 Spanish Cup and 2011 and 2012 ( with the succession team Atlético Madrid) Copa ASOBAL won. In the summer of 2013, he joined the Polish first division KS Kielce.

Julen Aguinagalde has been disputed 112 caps for the Spanish national team, in which he threw 298 goals. In the European Handball Championship 2008 in Norway, he replaced the injured Rolando Centurions, resigned from Spain but after the main round. In the Men's Handball World Championship 2011, he was with the Spanish team third parties, at the World Handball Championship 2012 fourth. At the Olympic Games in London in 2012 Spain lost in the quarterfinals to eventual winners France, Aguinagalde but was elected to the All- Star team. His biggest success Aguinagalde when he with the Spanish team in their own country became world champion by a 35:19 - Final victory over Denmark in 2013. Again he was in the All- Star team. At the European Championships in 2014, he was re-elected with Spain third parties as well as the best pivot player in the All- Star team.
