Jules Cluzel

Jules Cluzel ( born October 12, 1988 in Montlucon, Allier, France ) is a French motorcycle racer.

Career

Jules Cluzel debuted in 2005 on a 125 - cc Malaguti at the Grand Prix of France in the Motorcycle World Championship. Since 2006 he start permanently in the World Cup. 2006 and 2007 came the Frenchman on privately entered Aprilia in the quarter-liter class. In the 2008 season Cluzel was standing by the works team of the Chinese manufacturer Loncin in the 125cc class under contract, but was able to drive 15 races in a single time in the points.

In 2009, Jules Cluzel entered for the Italian privateer team Matteoni Racing in the 250 cc class. At the opening race, the Grand Prix of Qatar at Losail, he won second place behind the Spaniard Hector Barbera, the first podium of his World Cup career. However, after Cluzel was not able to this result and finished the season as joint - twelfth.

Jules Cluzel 2010 goes for Forward Racing Suter in the newly created Moto2 class at the start. His team-mate is the Italian Claudio Corti. At the season opener in Qatar, the Frenchman finished third could go to the podium again. His first win in the Motorcycle World Championship followed four races later at the Grand Prix of Great Britain at Silverstone in a total of 71 races of his career.
