Jules T. Freund

Jules T. Friend (* June 24, 1890 in Budapest, † April 22, 1960 ) was an American immunologist who developed the eponymous Freund's adjuvant.

Jules friend studied medicine at the Royal Hungarian University and received his doctorate at age 23. In World War I he was in the Austro-Hungarian army.

In the years 1949/1950 he was president of the American Association of Immunologists. In 1959 he was awarded the Albert Lasker Award for Basic Medical Research.
