Julia Richter

Julia Richter ( born September 29, 1988 in Schwedt / Oder ) is a German rower. In 2011 she was world champion in the quadruple sculls.

Career

Julia Richter finished with Lena Moebus at the U23 World Cup 2007 second in the double sculls. At the European Championships in 2007 and Judge Moebus came together with Judith Aldinger and Sophie Dunsing at the sculls and won the bronze medal. 2008 Richter won at the U23 World Cup in one, at the European Championships 2008, she finished ninth in the One. Followed in 2009, the silver medal in the quadruple sculls at the U23 World Cup.

2010 won judges along with Tina Manker, her club -mate at the rowing club at Wannsee, the German title in double sculls. At the helm European Championships 2010, she met with Britta Oppelt, Carina Baer and Tina Manker at the sculls, the four German rowers won the silver medal behind the Ukrainians. At the World Championships occupied the four third place behind the boats from the United Kingdom and Ukraine.

2011 won judges together with Britta Oppelt, Carina Baer and Stephanie Schiller at the German Championships in the quadruple sculls. After two World Cup victories in the quadruple sculls Britta Oppelt, Stephanie Schiller, Tina Manker and Julia Richter won gold at the World Championships in Bled.

At the Olympic Games in London in 2012, she won together with Carina Bear, Anne Katrin Thiele and Britta Oppelt in the quadruple sculls silver medal.

At the helm European Championships 2013 in Seville, she won gold in the quadruple sculls. A year later, at the World Rowing Championships 2013 in Chungju, they won gold.
