Julia Sweeney
Julia Sweeney ( born October 10, 1959 in Spokane, Washington ) is an American actress and comedienne. As a civil rights activist she is committed to atheism.
Life
Sweeney discovered early her acting talent, but initially studied economics. She became a member of the Comedians group The Groundlings. She is best known by her role in Saturday Night Live. Sweeney was first raised as a Catholic. With time, however, she realized the contradictions of religion. In her work, she sits very critical look at the dangers and ideologies of religions. She is on the board of the Secular Coalition for America. She was honored for her commitment to the Richard Dawkins Award and the price Humanist Pioneer of the American Humanist Association. Sweeney lives in Hollywood.
