Julian Clarke

Julian Clarke ( born September 3, 1977 in Vancouver ) is a Canadian cutter.

Life

2000 Clarke concluded his studies at the University of British Columbia and then began to devote himself to Vancouver from mainly the work of the section master. For the Canadian short film Zombie he took over in 2002, however, the director and the writing of the script.

As editor, he worked mainly for rather less known films and numerous short films. For some projects, he worked with director Carl Bessai together, including the film Emile from the year 2003, in which Ian McKellen played the lead role, and Unnatural & Accidental, 2007 Leo Award won for the Clarke for the best cut. Also Bessais zombie movie Severed - Forest of the Dead, and the video game adaptation of the controversial Postal German director Uwe Boll belong to Clarke's work.

A major success was recorded with the Clarke science fiction film District 9 director Neill Blomkamp of. At the Academy Awards in 2010, he was nominated in the category Best Editing for an Oscar. Also at the BAFTA Awards, the Satellite Awards, the Online Film Critics Society Awards and the Eddie Awards from the American Cinema Editors, he received nominations for his performance.
