Julian Glover

Julian Wyatt Glover CBE ( born March 27, 1935 in London ) is a British actor.

Biography

Glover was born in Hampstead, the son of Honor Ellen Morgan and Claude Gordon Glover, a BBC radio producer. The musician Robert Wyatt is his half brother. He attended schools in Bristol and Dulwich and was classmate of other actors such as Timothy West and David Prowse. He then completed a training of actors at the theater in London and was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company, with whom he appeared in the 1950s in numerous stage plays.

In the 1960s and 1970s, Glover has appeared in various TV series such as Doctor Who and Simon Templar in the first and films like The green blood of demons. In the 1980s, his reputation increased progressively, when he in 1980 in Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back the role of General Veers played. He was pulled as James Bond in place of Sean Connery into consideration in 1972, but eventually Roger Moore was obliged, with whom he 007 together in the movie James Bond: For Your Eyes Only played. He also appeared in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade to see (1989 ) with Harrison Ford.

He also worked in the film The Book of Love Eva - with Ticket to Paradise ( 2002) and the crime comedy Big Nothing (2006). Additionally, he was Aragog in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002) his voice. Glover was married from 1957 to 1966 with the actress Eileen Atkins. Since 1968, he is married to Isla Blair which embodied his wife in the film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. With it, he has a son named Jamie Glover, who is also active as an actor.

Since 2011 he is in HBO's fantasy series Game of Thrones, the Song of Ice and Fire is based on George RR Martin's successful series of novels to see in the role of Großmaester Pycelle.
