Julian Musiol
Julian Musiol ( born April 4, 1986 in Suhl ) is a former German ski jumper.
Career
Musiol, son of former Bobfahrers Bogdan Musiol launched, with the SC motor Zella-Mehlis and made his international debut at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2002 in Schonach, where he was ranked 36. In January 2003, he started for the first time in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup. With a ranking of 22 in Planica he reached first Continental points on straight away.
In the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2003 in Sollefteå Musiol be improved to 16th in singles and reached with the team at Team jumping on the 11th Place. After mixed results in the Continental and at junior jumping he succeeded at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2004 Junior in Stryn succeeded with his team-mates Patrick Kaltenbach, Tobias Bogner and Mark Krauspenhaar winning the bronze medal behind the teams from Austria and Poland. In the individual competition, he missed another medal scarce and finished fifth.
In January 2005, succeeded Musiol in Lauscha first to jump at a Continental Cup competitions as tenth in a front seat. When Summer Continental Cup in Lillehammer, he reached his hitherto best individual result with eighth. After he reached a good 14th place in the second jump, he got a starting place at the Ski Jumping Grand Prix 2005. Predazzo In and Hakuba but he missed scoring points clear. He then went back in October in the Continental Cup. In Lake Placid, he surprised with a good fifth.
On 29 December 2005 Musiol was in Oberstdorf as part of the National group made its debut in the Ski Jumping World Cup. When 37 he missed scoring points in short supply and therefore went back to the Continental. Already in Sapporo, he again received a place in the World Cup squad. In Ski Jumping Grand Prix 2006 Musiol succeeded with rank 27 in Val di Fiemme, the gain of four points and other point-less jumping at the end of rank 74 of the Grand Prix standings. On 24 February 2007, he won his first Continental Cup competition in Oberhof. At season's end Musiol denied in Oslo again two World Cup competitions, but did not ever beyond Rank 40. In the spring of 2007 he began at the FH Ansbach be distance learning in management.
At the beginning of the 2008/ 09 Musiol succeeded in Rovaniemi with third place a renewed podium. In January 2009, he again succeeded in Sapporo a 22nd place in the World Cup. It was his last place in the World Cup points. In January 2010, he reached the same place in the Continental again finished third and thus a podium place. As a result, he stayed in the B national squad and was only occasionally used in the World Cup, but missed often the qualification.
