Julian of Norwich

Julian of Norwich, English: Julian of Norwich (c. 1342 in England; † after 1413 ) was an English mystic.

She was probably a Reklusin at the Church of St Julian in Norwich and experienced during a severe illness in 1373 16 mystical openings on the life of Jesus Christ and the Holy Trinity. Twenty years later, she told them in her book, The Revelations of Divine Love ( Revelations of Divine Love ).

The most important source about their origin and their circumstances are the details that are made in the Revelations of Divine Love. Their writings suggest sound biblical and theological knowledge. Their revelations were written in two versions: a shorter transcript is commonly dated earlier and still contains many biographical details and information, while the later, second transcript was worked through theological. In this second font everything is aligned to God's saving will for all men out.

From the revelations also her 's most famous sentence, which not only English-speaking cultures has made in the treasury of quotations comes from:

" All will be well, and all will be well, and all kinds of things will be good. "
