Julie Cypher

Julie Cypher ( born August 24, 1964 in Kansas) is an American film director. She has become known for lesbian and gay rights as an animal rights activist for PETA and Advocate.

Cypher was married from 1986 to 1990 with Lou Diamond Phillips. From 1990 to 2000 she lived with Melissa Etheridge and had two children with her (1997 and 1998). Sperm donor for both children was David Crosby. Since the separation, Cypher and Etheridge share custody of the children.
