Júlio Baptista

Júlio César Baptista Pereira ( born October 1, 1981 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian footballer.

Career

Association

In 2000, Baptista began his professional career in his hometown at the traditional club Sao Paulo. He played there in central midfield along with famous players such as Kaka. Due to his impressive physical condition he was called at the time of the fans, the tanks.

In 2003 he moved to Spanish side Sevilla FC, where he played not in central midfield as in Brazil, but as a coherent peak in the storm. The result was División 38 goals in 63 games in his first two years in the Spanish Primera. In the Italian Association of Brazilian received a four-year contract that earns him 4.5 million euros per season. National

His debut in the national team of Brazil celebrated Baptista already as a 19- year-old at the Confederations Cup 2001 Japan and South Korea.
