Julio Escoto

Julio Escoto (* 1944 in Honduras ) is a Honduran writer. He lives in San Pedro Sula / Honduras.

Julio Escoto writes novels, short stories, novels and essays, and is considered to be currently the most successful storyteller in Honduras. Before the Communist persecution of the 80s, he fled to Costa Rica. He has published several historical novels, among others, to life of the Honduran national hero Francisco Morazan.

In the novel Rey del Arbol Madrugada he takes a critical look at the machinations of the CIA in Honduras.
