Julio Iglesias

Julio Iglesias de la Cueva [ xuljo iɣlesjas ] ( born September 23, 1943 in Madrid ) is a Spanish singer and former football player. He is with over 300 million records sold and 2,600 platinum and gold records awards as one of the most successful solo artists. He sings in 14 languages, including Spanish, Italian, German, French, English and Portuguese.

Origin and family

Iglesias was born the first son of Julio Iglesias Puga known gynecologist (1915-2005) and María del Rosario de la Cueva y Perinan in Madrid. Julio Iglesias has a brother, Carlos ( b. 1947 ). His father came from the Galician city of Ourense, maternal his ancestors come from Puerto Rico, Cuba and Andalusia. Iglesias ' half-siblings Jaime (* 2004) and Ruth (* 2006), date from the second marriage of his father with Ronna Keitt.

From 1971 to 1979 he was with the Philippine diplomat's daughter Isabel Preysler ( born 1951 ) married. Since 1992 he has lived with the Dutch former model Miranda Johanna Maria Rijnsburger ( born October 5, 1965) together, the two have been married since August 24, 2010. Training

In his youth he was a talented soccer player and goalie in the junior team of Real Madrid.
