Julius Catlin

Julius Catlin (* December 14, 1798, † April 23, 1888 ) was an American politician. Between 1858 and 1861 he was Deputy Governor of the State of Connecticut.

The source location on Julius Catlin is extremely poor. Neither his birth nor his place of death have survived. Also about his life beyond his time as Lieutenant Governor is not known. Politically, he joined the Republican Party, founded in 1854. In 1857, Catlin was elected on the side of William Alfred Buckingham as Vice- Governor of the State of Connecticut. This post he held 1858-1861. Yet he was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate.
