JUMP GIS

Open Jump is a free software for geographic information systems, which was originally developed under the name JUMP by the Canadian company Vivid Solutions and Refractions Research. The name is an acronym for JUMP Unified Mapping Platform, the " J " indicates the underlying programming language Java. "Open " means open source ( " open source " ), and means that the source code of the program is available to everyone. OpenJUMP under the GNU General Public License and is now maintained and developed as part of the Jump Pilot Projects by an international group of volunteers.
