Jun Marques Davidson

June Marques Davidson (Japaneseディビッドソン 純 マーカス, Deibiddoson June Mākasu; born June 7, 1983 in Tokyo Prefecture ) is a Japanese footballer who plays in midfield.

Career

Youth

Davidson is the son of American parents, but was born in Japan. After he had spent there the first years of his life, he moved with his family to Pasadena, California. There he attended the American Global Soccer School.

Beginning in Japan

In 2002 he went back to Japan and played at Omiya Ardija. After three seasons in the J. League Division 2, he was able to rise with the team in 2006 in the J. League Division 1.

In 2007 he moved to Albirex Niigata. There he was but borrowed most of the time on other teams. He played for Vissel Kobe in 2007 and 2008 for Consadole Sapporo.

Davidson began his career in 2002 at Omiya Ardija. In 2007 he signed with Albirex Niigata and Vissel Kobe was awarded to. A year later he played on loan at Consadole Sapporo.

Return to the U.S.

In February 2009 he returned to the United States. The Carolina RailHawks, he became one of the service providers and managed with the team reaching the final of the USSF Division 2 Professional League.

For the 2011 season, he returned again to Japan and played Tokushima in the second division of the country.

On January 18, he joined the Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
