June Bronhill

June Bronhill ( born June 26, 1929 in Broken Hill, Australia, † January 25, 2005 in Sydney) was an Australian opera singer, the soprano vocal range.

June Bronhill was born June Gough, her stage name, she headed from her birthplace. After winning several singing competitions in Australia, she continued her education in England. From 1954, she appeared in the Sadler's Wells and was with her coloratura soprano in the opera, operetta and musical success. Their most important role was in Franz Lehar's operetta Hanna Glawari The Merry Widow. June took her career to several LPs. In 1976 she was awarded the Order of the British Empire. Bronhill lived alternately in the UK and Australia, in 1993, she retired from the stage and lived most recently in Sydney.
