She made her debut as a solo artist in 1976 with a ballad album with English traditionals, Airs & Graces. With her soft contralto she interprets with preference ballads. She sang many pieces a cappella, but has been playing for several years with the often improvising pianist Huw Warren. In addition to English songs they sang songs in Yiddish.
She lives with her husband, the violinist Mark Emerson by the ensemble in 1651, in the English county of Shropshire.
